A pink cloud in an otherwise ordinary sky
escapes the mundane white on blue,
floating, floating aimlessly by
displaying its gossamer baby pink hue.
A feather drifting softly through space,
a lingering apparition,
floating away to dissipate
and return to imagination.

If you are tired of looking at my mountains, I understand. But I am addicted to gazing.
Then I race for the camera, addicted to sharing magnificent views.
And since my wide eyed vistas of the same mountain range change and change again, you blogger friends are force fed eternal photographs.
Ah Well.
The Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia as I see them through my kitchen window or deck, are eternally addictive. 
Perhaps I need an “intervention.”

Ribbons of darkening clouds
above Virginia’s Blue Ridge mountains;
a line of sunlit hilltop vegetation,
leading to a fading foreground.
Look closely and you will see
defining lines.
Nature’s perfect stripes upon an
ever changing canvas.

Parting Clouds
SKYLIGHT SERIES
Look up!
What do you see?
I see the clouds parting to let in the sun
because I called it this morning with all my might,
imagining I could catch the light
as it came pouring through the haze.
And the outcome was the joy of wonder
at the transformation to a true blue sky.
Look up!
What do you see?
I see that I have commanded the heavens
and now I am reaching for the clouds.
