This famous poem questions the way one can distinguish between reality and fantasy.
It dramatizes a confusion in watching the important things in life slip away.
Sometimes I think my real life is actually my dream life or my shadow life.
I know.
Nothing makes much sense this way.
But I like the idea of a self portrait in shadows!
