Hallelujah!
Our Christmas tree is up, decorated, and the outside wreaths alit for holiday cheer in our Virginia country world. Twinkling lights, red bows and a second tree on the deck complete the picture.
It’s definitely looking alot like Christmas around here.
And could this little posting mean I am back to blogging?
The wish is always to re-connect but that nagging urge waxes and wans like the moon.
I am still doing physical therapy for the dragging left leg with up and down results and high hopes for a sudden healing. Exercise sessions that look like child’s play (including walking over a cone obstacle course on a leash) leave a body physically exhausted.
But each day I surf around the blogging world for 15 minutes to see what all of you are doing and try to comment here and there.
Sitting too long is a no-no, but surfing around forbidden territory feels grand and I relish the stolen moments online. What fun to be slinking into off-limits cyberspace!
But, today, with fearless abandon I am dropping in for more than a moment to say, “Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!”
Welcome back! I missed you and I am so sorry you are feeling less than par. Hope you start feeling better soon Oh, and half of your lead photo is cut off in the WordPress Reader!

I had to re-read “Leash” twice and then laughed at the image in my head. I would not do well with that therapy due to all of the laughing while trying to walk.
Glad you’re on the mend and decking the halls. They look gorgeous!
One day at a time.

Ho, ho, ho, Merry Christmas Dor!!! Have you been a good girl this year? Why of course you have, so Santa is obviously going to bring you lots of lovely gifts :). I hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday season full of happiness and good health. I am getting excited because both boys will be home soon for Christmas. Yayyyy!!! My mom is also coming up for a couple of weeks. It’s going to be a hard one without my dad, but at least she won’t be alone. We’ll make sure that we keep her laughing :). Take care my friend and stay warm!

I was thrilled to see your blog come up, Dor. There is no need to sneak back! My in box welcomes you at any time of day or night. I can certainly understand your lack of time and physical obstacles. It’s great that you are having therapy and working to overcome the misbehaving leg. Best of luck with that. Could you use a phone or tablet to read things while reclining? You could save sitting time for the computer where you could type easily.
John drove by while you were sleeping. He went to the Advent service and choir rehearsal in Asheville, leaving directly from there to go to NY to pick up David. He might have driven by around 2 am. They are together now and heading back south, hoping to get here by midnight. Needless to say, I’m happy to be at home and not sitting in the car for 30 hours.
Merry Christmas to you and Bill and the best New Year ever!

Thank you Cindy – for the sentiments and the tip about the wp reader. I suppose we must post smaller pictures now? That would be a shame, expecially for your blog where the photos are so magnificent.

At first PT (that’s what they call physical therapy) seemed serious and daunting. Lately the whole place is laughing and I love it even when it’s at my expense. They all know I hate the “leash” and save it for the last exercise on the list. 🙂

I wish you a Merry Christmas too Cindy! It’s so good to hear from you. I know how hard this holiday will be for you and your Mom, but the “up” part is in all being together. I wish you were here at the same time to make me laugh out loud. You would really make some fun of the physical therapy stuff and I think of you every time they give me something that looks ridiculous to do. The last thing is the “Back Track” which I call the “Back Up” where they put your a– in a sling for a kind of mini traction. 🙂

Hey old friend! Thanks for thinkin’ of me. And guess what? We are on a dog search. Seems silly given my “condition” but we are missing having a pup so much that we think we can work things out. I will alert you if we find the perfect fit. 🙂

Hi Anne and thank you for your wonderful thoughts and wishes for my recuperation. This has been going on much too long. I am delighted that John did not decide to drop in for a visit at 2AM on his way to picking up David. Well, he could have though. I mean he would be welcome if he needed a place to rest en route, even at 2AM. Merry Christmas to you and yours and Happy New Year too. Love and hugs coming your way….. Dor 🙂

Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy New Year.
I am most comfortable when I sit with my legs elevated a bit, and I’m in a bit of a reclined position. So my husband built me a small desk on wheels that I can roll right up to my reclining chair. It has a pull out keyboard and everything. I think if I didn’t have that, my computer time would be a lot less… maybe that would be a good thing…
