The colors sure are pretty over there–the gray clouds can’t hide them.

Lovely! You must be higher in elevation to have such advanced color, even though we are much farther north, your views look similar to ours in terms of foliage. Love that mountain shot!

Thanks Charlie! I do love the Fall colors too and the brisk clear days – well, even the rainy days. There is something exhilirating about it all.

Thanks Dianna! And when will you return? There is much left to do and see. 🙂

Most rooms of our home look out upon the Blue Ridge Mountains Eliza. And although I fear my friends will get sick of them, I never tire of taking photos of the same view. It keeps changing within minutes.

Who ever tires of a beautiful view? Do you know that some towns charge a ‘view tax?’ I hope yours doesn’t, it would be expensive! 😉

You are very lucky to be living up there in the Virginia mountains. I’m next to a a Virginia Mall. 🙂
My overly-active imagination can see ghostly spirits moving about in your photos with the fog.
I know what you mean. Metabolism slowing down–do feel like warmed over death at times. And Autumn, beautiful as it is, leaves me feeling a wee bit melancholy. Now with the time turned ‘back’ again, it gets dark so early.

Oh, I would love to live right next to a shopping mall. I do love the VA mountains and valleys, but a little over active imagination means I can see bears behind almost every tree! 🙂

A view tax?!!! Never heard of that one Eliza. They are trying to restrict hilltop building here though. Makes some sense since humans tend to destroy nature even as they seek natural beauty.

Oh no! There are no bears where I am right now. Just store after store after store, and way too many restaurants==TRAFFIC!

Tax collectors will capitalize everything, you know. Sadly, I agree with your last line.

Fall has pretty much come and gone here except for a few stand-out trees who want to be the exception.
