Share a photo of what “relic” means to you – it could be your still running 1979 Honda Accord Hatchback, an historic building in your town, or an old, rusted farm implement poking up through the long grass in a field.
Touch me.
I was once alive
and real.
Try to remember.
That is a wonderful interpretation of the challenge, Dor!

What a beautiful, gnarled tree. I wonder what it looked like in its youth? Great photo, Dor. 😉

That one has seen better days, though now it might be home to a variety of critters.

I wonder too Judy. I like to think the tree was around when native Americans resided in the area (the Monnocan (sp?) Indians. The gnarled remains of that tree reside on a footpath going to the Natural Bridge of Virginia.

At first I was going to post a selfie Patti – to fit the “relic” challenge, but the tree and I have enough in common. 🙂

Here’s my thought: we can learn a lot from a ‘relic.’ That tree certainly qualifies for this photo challenge. Good one, Dor!

It’s amazing to me how you find just the right words to describe something like this old tree/roots – whereas others walk past and see nothing that would ignite their emotions or imagination.
