I know it’s only Wednesday – maybe too soon for Random Randoms, but this half of the week is special!

First, the snow came – and finally went.20160131_125720

And then we had a sweet doggy visitor overnight.

This pup now thinks we are Camp Pichu (Pichu is his name) and we are the solicitous counselors.  He fits right in and we love him.

And finally, my Big Foot (although still nominally big) can be sans the big ßoot for short periods of time.

In fact, my podiatrist says not to come back just to tell him things are looking good.  Things ARE looking good and  I’m done with the foot doctor! I must admit I will miss him, but he says to let pain be my guide now and  continue to wear the boot at my own discretion!

I am so happy even though it is raining “cats and dogs” outside.

I am delighted not only for freedom of life and limb (a bootless life and a painless limb), but for sweet visitors, and emerging grass for foraging deer,

And because I just learned my foot malady

is common and more commonly found in ATHLETES (not old ladies)!

And now I can say, “I must have contracted Bone Marrow Edema from extensive running in  marathons!”

Look closely and you may find me in this bunch!

I love you too!I’m back!  Remember me?

My name is Pichu and  I am visiting these strange old people again.  They think I am absolutely the most wonderful, adorable, sweetest, cutest pup in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia (or maybe even further afield).

I am theirs for a day (and a night too) but this day is speeding by since I am very busy having fun.

First they gave me a cup of Frosty Paws (doggy ice cream).  Wow!  I wonder if there are more of those around.

Then the lady and I went for a short walk so I could explore the grounds.  I have been here before but the smells of the wild are always different you know.

Then it was back inside for a bone chewing marathon.  It took awhile butI won!Bone Chewing Time Out

Some of my old squeaky toys are here too, and some new ones, so I figured she wanted to play.  And I was right.Do you really think you can get this toy

Then the man said, “Let’s go OUT!”  We all went out and I ran as fast as I could around all that grassy space.  I ran so fast the lady started laughing and that made me want to run even faster.

I ran so fast I got pretty worn out. What a good boy you are

They had their dinner and gave me little bites of yummy chicken since they could tell I needed more energy.

But a nap is definitely in order now, even if it is before bedtime.

I Kinda Like This Man

I know this isn’t home but…….

Not Bad. They Have Toys Here

These people have my toys.

My name is Pichu (pronounced “Pee-Chew”) and I’m visiting some new people.  I met them once before and they seem nice but I am a little apprehesive about staying the whole day this time and overnight too.

My family are away at an ice hockey game in Maryland.

Some of my own toys are here and these new people  have squeaky toys too.   The lady gave me some chicken bits that were delicious.  Then they both took me outside.  Wow!  That was fun.

I’m resting now and there is time to think about home.  Pichu wants home, but this place will have to do.

Bill and I made a new friend today.  I think he likes us.

He was a little apprehensive at first but loosened up after a snack and conversation.

His name is Pichu and we will be dog-sitting soon.  Today was just a day to see if we liked each other.

I think Bill and Pichu may have made a connection don’t you?

And we were both delighted to have a furry critter in the house once again!
