Yesterday was the 50th Anniversary of the Moon Landing!
It was a beastly hot day here on earth in Virginia too.
And The Pink Cadillac Diner was so full of people it would be a 25 minute wait for lunch.
And that’s where fellow blogger Eunice of Nutsfortreasure landed for an in-person meeting with me, Dor!
She came way out of her way for this meeting too, making a side trip from Virginia Beach en route to her home in New Hampshire!
It is a beautiful thing to meet a fellow blogger.
Eunice and I have been blogger pals for years and years. She probably knows more about my ups, downs and happinesses and tragedies than even close in-person friends.
And now Eunice is my revered in-person friend too. We wound up having lunch at my house where she met Bill and the little dog, Elsa. And we took a short tour of the surrounding wilderness.
Eunice is a nature lover, a master gardener, and a retired truck driver.
She actually drove a big semi truck for over 30 years!
She is also a fabulous artist!
We both agreed there will be a next time visit, and perhaps Eunice will bring her paints to give me a lesson in water coloring! She is an awsome artist. Above is a picture of the painting she sent to me. I love the dog-walking couple on a snowy day, especially when it’s sweltering in Virginia!
Thank you Eunice for coming all this way to visit. It feels like we have been friends for a very long time.
Two of my favorite and first blogging buddies. It is so wonderful to see you together. Love to both of you talented ladies. Bloggers like you two make life better for all of us.

We have been for so long and I know those who read mine as well as yours for sure know more than some of our friends do.
Lunch with you and your girl was perfect wish I did not have such a long ride to follow but I needed to get home.
I returned home at 2:30 AM today slept for 5 hrs. and worked on my place 🙂
Already miss you ❤

Isn’t it fun to meet a blog friend in person? She certainly is a talented artist, and obviously an interesting person in other ways. I’m so glad you could have some time together, and enjoy one another’s company in “real” life!

It’s the real life thing that is so surprising – like we already knew each other before we even got out of our cars.

But you did! That’s why the so-called division between “real life” and “virtual life” isn’t altogether right. Blogging’s a part of real life, too.

It’s amazing how many friends we have made over the years through blogging, which I might say we may not have done before . It is also amazing how many talented people there are out there. Eunice began her paintings about the same time I began my Linear B study so we have all followed her progress which is fantastic. So nice she has made the journey to meet you Dora the time is precious which you will never forget. One of my blogger friends came to visit me from Colorado about 5 years ago, we had a super time together. but so sad when she returned home about 6 months later she passed away. She had cancer and she did not tell me. The memories of her visit are very special and I think of her a lot. You may have re4ad about her on my blog Dora.

Aw, this made me smile for several reasons! Motor Man and I ate at the Pink Cadillac last year when we visited the safari park. AND, having visited you & Bill at your home, we know how beautiful your area is!
What an absolutely gorgeous painting from your friend..what a special gift! Glad you two met in person.

I know for a fact that Dor is even more amazing, funnier and sweeter in person than she is in the blogosphere. I’m thinking a blogger’s convention at Dor’s place in Virginia. Now that would be a party!!! 🙂

How wonderfully delightful that you got to meet your blogging friend in real life! She certainly is one talented gal — that picture is gorgeous. I think I’ll look at it a little longer in order to think cool thoughts as it has been sweltering here too.
