Shadows of the Season
Shadows dance to a secret tune
prompted by the play of light upon the green.
Just look!
The world has discarded winter’s gloom
and laid its living carpet for all to see.

Lovely poem, Dor!

It looks to me as though you have what I always called “barefoot grass.” I grew up with that kind of grass — soft, and sweet-smelling. Down here, our lawn grasses tend to be prickly, and not so inviting to lay in.

I remember prickly grass in Florida but I miss going barefoot there growing up. Here the grass is soft but tis tick season so going barefoot is ill advised.
