Memories by Design
February 27, 2017 by dorannrule

A watercolor painting by a first-grader Grandgirl.
A child-painted bird house too sweet to expose to the elements.

And a trio of little ones painted this watering can to celebrate Spring!

Handcrafted gifts from young-uns are memories by design.
A nostaligic art form that makes our house a home.

I think you have been exposed to exceptional children! We have no such remembrances in our house.

What a beautiful collection, Dor. That’s certainly what makes a house a home. ❤

I do love the kids’ primitive gifts and some from friends’ kids too. 🙂

Actually, they really are artistic Eliza. I think it is genetic but not from me.

So cute. While tidying up the basement recently, we uncovered some of those “memories by design” kind of artworks fashioned by our kiddos. 🙂

Yes! And even though things like the bird house aren’t used by birds, the work is really in extending memories and looking back in time. 🙂

We did. Now the question is…what to do with them??
