I love this. We had one in our neighborhood when Kelsea was very small and she was terrified of it. Her name was Hazel. Being the good mom that I was, I told her it was okay to touch it, and just as she reached out to do so, I yelled BOO. It’s one of those things she can talk about in therapy. (Just kidding, she’s actually forgiven me that.)

I may be duplicating my comment, but I love this. When Kelsea was little, there was one of these down the street. Her name was Hazel, and Kelsea was terrified of it. I convinced her it was nothing to be scared of, and just as she was about to touch it, I yelled BOO. She has forgiven me now, but it will likely still come up in therapy in years to come.
