The second one looked like a classic “deer in the headlights” pose. We have one neighbor who saw a deer in her yard, but we’ve never sighted one from our house. I’m glad you caught the moment.
Thank you Donna! You are one of my favorite photographers so I am very happy you liked the flowered background. It was like the deer were posing there just for me. 🙂
Thanks Dianna. That round bed is Bill’s farming endeavor. He planted other things but the deer got them. They seem to hate marigolds though and we love the color so he plants them around the border every year.
Yes, it was a magical moment Anne – and the little deer with the shiny eyes was actually caught in the flash of my camera. It was getting on dusk, their favorite time of day, and the camera responded. 🙂
🙂 Good to think of those beautiful critters as lawn ornaments Eliza! The emerald eyes were caught in the flash of my camera since it was just that last part of the day when the sun was disappearing.
Sweet!

There is rarely just one. In our neighborhood they come in packs like girls going to a bar. (Not that I would know anything about that.)

What fun pictures! Hopefully the deer didn’t eat the flowers.

We love those flowers too. And it looks like the deer hate marigolds – like me and canned peas. 🙂

Thanks Lorri! The fawn photobomb was just there and the little guy never flinched even as I walked closer to our deck railing. Irresistible! 🙂

You are so funny Kate! I will never see a pack of deer again without thinking of us girls going to a bar. 🙂

Thanks Sheryl… and no, the flowers were safe because the deer hate marigolds. 🙂
