The year we moved away, I introduced our two grandsons to the magic held in these blooms. Will once be enough for them to remember and some day pass it on to their children?
Always wonderful to hear form you Donna. I did not know about honeysuckle growing up but it’s a wonderful thing for children to have memories like yours of happy summers..
Love honeysuckle!

Suck the end of the flower to get the drop of honey out?

I don’t know what to do with those. I’m not even sure what they are but if I was taking a test my guess would be Honeysuckle. How’d I do?

Yes! Honeysuckle! But I have not seen one in years – so sweet. Thanks for the memory.

You did great Ellen! They are Honeysuckle… and their little stems yield drops of sweet nectar to enchant children and adults alike. 🙂

It’s just a tantalizing touch of sweetness I never knew either until my grandchildren showed me the way.
