Now this photograph made me laugh. I wish I knew who took it. It was on Twitter and listed as “Frog Family” from @fantasticpics. I like to think of this froggy family as spying on my struggle with Velcro fasteners.
I always thought Velcro was permanent, but did you know if it has nothing to stick to it doesn’t work?
It was getting harder and harder to fasten up my Big Boot for the BigFoot. Yesterday I walked 4,000 steps without any help from the Boot and then had a stabbing pain. So it’s back to thumping around town in BigFoot disguise.
It’s o.k. though. The sympathy is lovely.
Anyway, I couldn’t fasten the darned liner this morning and upon examination found that the fabric it once stuck to had worn away. A call to the podiatrist helped and now I have a brand new boot to follow me through to whatever final conclusion there is.
Meanwhile, I hope the froggy family spies had a good croak over this human’s progress into the world of modern inventions.
Do you suppose they live in that drainpipe?
Do you follow Twitter? You can find me there too – @virginiashopperdor
Amazing photo! In Michigan, I had snakes, toads, frogs and chipmunks living in my drainpipes. Varmints!

Another myth dispelled. If you can’t believe in Velcro, what can you believe in?

Yukkk! I would have thought Michigan is too cold to harbor such critters. 🙂

After having a tree frog take up housekeeping in our guest bathroom, I cracked up at this picture.
Yay for walking 4000 steps, Dor! Great job!

Ditto suzicate – The photo had me chuckling! Ahhhh… sending you and your Big Boot and Big Foot sympathy. 😉

Perhaps they like it there because the drain is damp. Sorry you are not done with Big Foot! I don’t do Twitter but Son says I should. If you can, perhaps I can too! Will check it out.

Hilarious photo – esp. with the reflection of the flash in their eyes. A frog party!

When I saw the title, I thought you were the one doing the watching!

I once had a frog join me in the shower! You never saw anyone move so fast. 🙂 Thanks Jill – 4,000 steps were definitely steps up from the last 8 weeks of averaging 2,000. Gotta keep going now.

Thanks Kate. BigFoot has made vast improvements. It looks almost normal but the dr. says, “Let pain be your guide” to determine when to don the Big Boot.

I love Twitter but it’s very different from blogging or FB…. it’s more for “finding” things. Thanks for the sympathy on BigFoot coastalcrone. Doc says to let pain be my guide about wearing the boot. It may take more time but it’s healing.

I’m glad you agree about how funny that photo is Eliza. I simply had to share the frog party. 🙂

Hahaha! Actually I do love people watching. My Mom and I used to go to the airport with no intention of flying, but just to sit and watch the people and make up stories. 🙂

Sorry your back with the Big Boot Dora. But yes the Doc is right about letting pain be your guide .Love the froggie pic even though I hate frogs, but they are better than cockroaches. Its strange that I like collect fossils but if some of them were alive I would run a mile, I mean if they were the creepy crawly ones.

This picture is unbelievable – I love it! Very sorry to hear about the problems with your boot, but glad they gave you a new one. Hopefully one day very soon you can be done with it forever!

Many thanks Julie! The foot is getting better, but slowly… could take more time than expected, but I’m trying to ignore it. 🙂

It’s just taking a little longer than I hoped for the foot to fully heal. Thanks so much for caring.

I don’t consider frogs to be sweet cuddly things either Rita! 🙂 It’s a slow go for the foot healing process but at least there is no more swelling anyway.

What a riot Dorann! It reminds me of the summer we moved into our house here in TX and one day while working outside I looked up and there were like six or seven gecko’s sitting on the gutter looking down at us!! Was very funny to see~

It was really something Dorann, for awhile there that was their perch. Here is something very interesting: once I was outside working in one of our back gardens and I felt something looking at me – I looked up and back on a wall by the house were three gecko’s looking straight at me. I thought what the heck is this all about, no sooner did I look down and lo n’ behold quite a large snake was right next to where I was standing. I’ve learned to pay attention to those little guys ever since!

I must have missed something, Dor. Why do you have a big foot?

An MRI showed my swollen foot was due to “Bone Marrow Edema” which translated means a bruised bone (usually attributed to young athletes like runners)! I love to say I have an athletic injury even tho I am really an old couch potato. 🙂 Wearing a special boot immobilizes the foot and aids healing. I am almost healed but going back and forth between the boot and real shoes. Thanks for asking beeblu. 🙂
