Didn’t know you have lizards up there. 😁 I was in the Richmond area until a couple days ago. Made it out in time.

OK, now THAT is funny! Glad you still have a sense of humor in light of the storm you’re probably experiencing as we speak. Hope all’s OK on your end.

We do have little lizards who visit in summer – never winter – and never in big snow events like this one. Glad you made it out of Richmond in good time John! 🙂

And to think I used to travel on the Northern State all the time! I’m glad I moved before the lizards came.

“So far, so good” here Tina and thanks. The storm hasn’t been too bad so far – 7 inches of snow. But I heard on the news that the National Guard has been called in to our area due to a forecast of 2 feet more overnight. Yikes. Nevertheless, we feel prepared. 🙂

The “B” is no where near the “L” on the keyboard…well done sign message person, well done indeed. I’m sure it provided a lot of smiles on a bad travel day.

It sounds like the makings of a new horror movie starring our heroine, Dor, who singlehandly battles the monster lizards with her bare hands and saves the world :). LOL 🙂

That’s hilarious! Stay safe, Dor! I’ll look forward to some beautiful pictures.

Wow, here in California we don’t think about lizards until about 11:00 am when they come out to sun themselves on the rocks. And I hear you folks are getting lots of snow so those must be the famous snow lizarras migrating north for the winter.

I think we only have about 18 inches total this morning Tina! Never thought that would be cause to celebrate. Now we are expecting 40 mph winds. Hmmmmm.

Thanks Rita and yes, we are hardened country dwellers out here in “no man’s land” (as my Mom used to call it). Stocked up, warm and ready for nature. 🙂

Hahaha! The lizzards were definitely looming yesterday. Today we have 18 inches of snow instead and getting windy.

I don’t know where the lucky duck saying started but my old Mom used to say that all the time. Maybe it’s over 100 years old! She used to say, “Don’t be an omelet” too. 🙂

Hot soup, chili, and stew are all ready to go to be warmed on the wood stove if we lose power but so far the lights have stayed on! Hurrah! 🙂

Humor and appreciation of a hushed world do help. I slept until 9 this morning – a first. It could be the elimination of wheat, but maybe the silence of the snow is more likely and we are definitely “snowed in.” I do have high hopes for the wheat program though and thanks again for sharing that valuable information MJ! 🙂

LOL! 🙂 Will check when our 18″ of snow melts. 🙂

I’m much nearer being 100 than I used to be, old enough to have heard lots of old sayings before they were so old. Lucky duck is a good one.

Saw this on Facebook! Ha! Those ‘lizzards’ are hard to see in a snowstorm — they’re all white! Did the ‘lizzard’ warning pertain to your area? We only got a few inches here — it’s all east and south of us.

This cracked me up! The B, the B, what happened to the B?
My husband is a civil engineer, does major highway and bridge construction…I could tell you a few stories about what happens when default messages appear on those signs, ha!

Hi Old Friend! We are safe and sound at home and the big storm is about over. Oddly enough we never lost power but tomorrow is the “big dig.” Thanks for your email Kit and for this way of checking up on us too. We are fine. Do you miss the snow?

Hi Suzicate… My husband is a civil engineer too. He also worked on major highways! Small world huh?. He started building highways in remote areas in CA and wound up working on implementing interstate system in DC.

No the lizzard warning didn’t apply to our area but I thought the photo was too funny not to share. I think we have wound up with 18 inches of snow here and if there are any lizards they have blended in too well to notice. 🙂
