Yes, there have been sightings.
Like the time someone saw Big Foot in the parking lot of Lowe’s!
And the small touches made to hearth and home.
And thanks to Big Foot, “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!”
Big Foot has not been seen baking yet but is sort of enjoying sympathetic tsk-tsk-tsks and oohs and awws .
So, after all these years of hiding in the woods, the monster emerging has its up side.
One does have to keep going in spite of a swollen foot that keeps on achin’.
But, No, it is not gout.
And No, it is not a clot.
It is not even a recognizable break.
And my doc says one swollen foot is not associated with diabetes either.
An MRI is next.
Then hopefully Big Foot will rejoin his reindeer friends in the deep forest and
we mortal souls can get on with preparing for Christmas.
Hopefully the MRI will show what the problem is. Maybe you haven’t been eating enough cookies – just a thought…

Hahaha! I will hit the cookies NOW Andrew. Thanks so much for your merry thought. 🙂

Maybe Bill will do all the Xmas chores for you Dora. Then your foot will hopefully be better. No doubt Bill helps anyway and you don’t need a swollen foot for an excuse eh. Just kidding ! as I really hope future test solve the foot problem. What a pain in the……!

Think of your foot as a “get out of jail” card. It’s a great time to kick back and enjoy the holiday without a lot of work!

Hmmmm. If I could just learn to delegate, the swollen foot would serve me well re Xmas chores. I’m sure Bill would do anything. Unfortunately I’m not good at delegating. 🙂

Hmmmmm!!!! Diabolical thinking my friend. I shall give this “get out of jail” idea serious consideration. 🙂

Oh no, they still haven’t figured out your swollen foot?? I think you need to eat some chocolate and sit back and read a good book or two or three. That should fix it :). At least they have ruled out the serious possibilities. That is good news!

At least you still have your sense of humor. Hopefully they’ll figure out what the problem is –and “big foot” will be gone soon.

I agree with Kate – time to put your feet up and bring out your inner ‘royalty’ and get your subjects to do the work!
When is the MRI scheduled?

Feet are going up and the minions have their orders! Thanks Eliza. The MRI is Dec. 17th.

LOL is the best medicine even though in this case it isn’t working yet. Can’t wait to wave goodbye to Big Foot. 🙂

I am enjoying dark chocolate covered almonds every day (having the illusion that both ingredients have lots of magnesium!). Big Foot does bring along some advantages and yes, they have ruled out the bad stuff. I will hit the champagne though, when Big Foot takes a hike.

Oh, such a long wait, sorry, Dor. 😦
Well, I guess you learn the fine art of delegation! 😉

Also learning the fine art of coping with a smile. 🙂 Thanks for your concern my friend. I have been thinking of you and the sugar plum experiment. 🙂

I can so relate to this; after foot surgery several years ago I found it incredibly difficult to do all I’d always done. Yes I had hope, but the biggest challenge was me, and the expectations I had on everything. Hoping for a clear diagnosis and a straight path to healing!! MJ

Okay love the decorations – but the big foot. Well now that is another matter, an MRI needs to help you get to the bottom of the swelling so you can enjoy the holidays and everyday trips here and there. Best wishes on the MRI and hope you get some answers. Miss seeing you, Happy Holidays Dorann!

Thanks so much Mary! And Happy Holidays to you too. Hoping Big Foot will disappear soon. 🙂

Ditto MJ… hoping for the “clear diagnosis and path to healing.” Hoping you are totally healed from your own foot surgery.

Big Foot is still hanging around, huh? Well, try out all of those Christmas ‘remedies’ all of your readers have suggested. And if that doesn’t work, just tie a big red bow and jingle bells around Big Foot and tell it if it’s going to hang around until Christmas, then it better darn well be festive! Seriously, I hope your MRI reveals the culprit and you’re back to normal in a jiffy.

Thanks Cindy! Sometimes it’s the not-knowing that gets old. I’m hoping the MRI will solve the foot mystery.

We must have been stung with the same critter. I’m hobbling because my knee hurts!! It is amazing how much better it is though since hubby brought in a walker from the shed!

Exactly. The not knowing is driving me nuts. It’s been on again off again for a month. I hate going to docs, but I might have to break down and go.

It is comforting to share our aches and pains! My MRI is next week and hoping they will see something like a hairline fracture…. anything so I will know how to treat it. Do you suppose it could be an insect sting? I am thinking of trying an antihistamine next. Glad the walker is helping you. 🙂

Yes, the swollen foot has been plaguing me for six weeks now with no explanation. Doc says he can’t tell me how to treat it until he knows what is causing it. Ha!

Weird. My knee thing is random, too.

How strange it is that we both have random unexplained knee/foot things! Is there something in the air maybe? 🙂

Keep on mending Lilly! I will cross “whatever can cross” wshing for you (and me too). I can walk normally for 5 minutes at a time now! That’s a positive thing. Going for MRI Thursday.

I am better yesterday and today–no cane. But I am being careful since the last one I was getting better and then it jumped up and nabbed me again–whatever “it” is.

No cane!!! Now that’s progress. I am on again off again – today limping around and now the back is registering complaints too. Yuck! 😦
