I’m back! Remember me?
My name is Pichu and I am visiting these strange old people again. They think I am absolutely the most wonderful, adorable, sweetest, cutest pup in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia (or maybe even further afield).
I am theirs for a day (and a night too) but this day is speeding by since I am very busy having fun.
First they gave me a cup of Frosty Paws (doggy ice cream). Wow! I wonder if there are more of those around.
Then the lady and I went for a short walk so I could explore the grounds. I have been here before but the smells of the wild are always different you know.
Then it was back inside for a bone chewing marathon. It took awhile butI won!
Some of my old squeaky toys are here too, and some new ones, so I figured she wanted to play. And I was right.
Then the man said, “Let’s go OUT!” We all went out and I ran as fast as I could around all that grassy space. I ran so fast the lady started laughing and that made me want to run even faster.
I ran so fast I got pretty worn out.
They had their dinner and gave me little bites of yummy chicken since they could tell I needed more energy.
But a nap is definitely in order now, even if it is before bedtime.
Wonderful photographs and story. Thank you for the smile this evening.

Pichu … You ARE adorable. Like Dor, we treasure visits from our grandpuppy. It gets us out and about. That fresh air and exercise is such a good thing. Enjoy your visit. 😉

I think Pichu is getting quite spoiled! May I come for a walk, nap and dinner sometime?

All that fresh air and exercise knocked everybody out, including me (Pichu), the “grandpuppy.” Glad you enjoy my sporadic visits earthrider. 🙂

I think Pichu thinks this is like a day camp, but “there’s no place like home” and I know he adores his mistress, Ellie.

It must be exhausting to babysit old people. Poor pup. My cat Morgan is interested in this B&B. Can I book her a room?

This is so adorable.Did Steve tell you the senior dog we were going to take from his friend at dog beach became ill and died. He was a sweet old guy. It had something to do with an intestinal problem. The kitty is safe for now. Loved the pictures and dialogue. Hope all is well in your part of the world. love, Vivienne

I’m so sorry about the old doggie you and Steve were supposed to inherit Viv. Seems like it was not meant to be and maybe the best thing. It is so easy to get attached very quickly and the last part of loving a pet is the hardest part. We have emulat3ed you and Steve with dog sitting for Pichu. He is a doll and we love him and we get our dog fix. Glad you enjoyed the blog post. 🙂 Sending love and hugs…..

Morgan would no doubt fit right into this B&B and would rule any dogs who dared to cross the threshhold. 🙂

Yes Rita, life is good – especially when we add a dog to the equation. Pichu gives and takes all the hugging we need and he is such a love.

Certainly the definition of a good day…It really takes so little to be truly happy.

Actually, I am the deep dark introspective one but I think we were destined to meet since we bring out the best in each other.

Don’t worry – I’m not going anywhere :). As for blogging, I just can’t seem to get into it lately. Instead, all I want to do is read, read, read. I’m sure I’ll get back into blogging at some point though because I really do enjoy it.

I keep hoping Pichu will return so we can dog-sit again. It has been too long. I am in need of a dog fix and the car is automatically turning toward the local SPCA. 🙂
