There is a major freeway in Virginia that boasts a long stretch of empty beauty.
No signs.
No buildings.
No commercial invitations.
No bathrooms either (the only downside).
But this big highway is wonderfully different.
It encourages liesure driving and a happy feeling of enormous freedom.
The scenery is delicious too.
It is much like bike-coasting down a long softly sloping hill.
And although I know it is not particularly safe, I feel like hollering,
“Look Mom! No hands!”
How wonderful is that?!!

The last time I yelled, “Look Mom! No Hands!” I promptly drove my bike into the back of a parked car. Lucky for me I only damaged my pride.
So I am glad you said it on a road with no parked cars. It takes a long time for a broken pride to heal…

You know what they say, ‘life is a highway!’ And sometimes you just have to live it to the fullest even if it is with no hands!! 😉
