Thanksgiving Message from the Wild

There was an early morning greeting

from a soft, sweet turtle dove

resting on my deckside railing

sending messages of peace and love.

Yes, the day seems cold and dreary

but take a look below.

Is that a deer quietly moving

through the night’s collected snow?

Happy Thanksgiving from me to you

and add a message from the dove.

Take time to look with a dove’s eye view

for a world of peace and love.

Marvelous shot, Dor. Deer symbolize unconditional love and so with the dove, you really do have peace and love this Thanksgiving. What a gift from Nature!

Thank you for the beautiful, serene nature photos. The morning dove is one of my favorite birds and its sighting of the deer is priceless. 😉

Yes, those photos were as I woke up Thanksgiving morning. I took one look at the dove and ran for the camera. Had no idea the deer were coming by either. There had to be a message there right?
