We don’t know if it’s coming or going Eliza. So many of the trees are denuded from a big wind. Others remain in full green. And still others are showing color like this one. Very strange season.
We lucked out this year with a relatively dry and cold September that set up ideal conditions for color. This recent storm has taken down a lot of leaves. Oak and beech are yet to peak. So we have a few more weeks before the majority will be dormant. I miss the leaves when they are gone!
There’s one in every crowd! It’s a beautiful time of year!

Ditto about missing the leaves when they are gone Eliza. It will be a colorless world unless we look closely enough for hidden hues.
