Announcing a Dog on the Bed

Noche and My Beautiful Niece

Noche doesn’t sleep in the bed, but stays on top of the bed to watch everything I do at my combo corner “office-nightstand.”

She is as clever and as smart as she looks too.

Noche viewed the pictures I took but as you can see, she is relatively unimpressed.

I will have to try harder and strive for more candid-camera shots to meet her expectations.

Bill and I are dog sitting but there is some question as to who is really in charge.

We almost forgot how much laughter comes with a pup in the house.

Like when Noche claims the doggy toy box is hers and brings each squeaky critter to the middle of the living room.

Or when she rolls over on her back to let us know she’s happy.

Or I love the “Lets play!” stance – tail up, paws down.

So THAT’S where the Downward Dog yoga pose came from!

Anyway, I am happy to announce there is a dog on my bed, and a lot of smiles in the house.

Trying hard not to overdo the treats, the hugs, the praise. Even with all that restraint, Noche knows she’s Top Dog around here. 🙂

Her stay will be all too short and then we will be admiring her from a distance too, so I know the feeling.

I know that feeling, Dora. Our grandpuppy will be visiting us – along with our grands – this coming week. We’ll have almost four glorious days to spoil them. The laughter and love we get from their Yorkie and them is just wonderful.

As to who’s in charge at your house, no question about it. It’s Noche. Enjoy!

Hahaha! I do love your thought process Kate. I have 3 stuffed pets I hug when the need arises – a dog, a bunny and a bear. Sometimes I hug all 3. 🙂

Have fun with your grands and the grand puppy Judy. They are the grand perks in life. And Yorkies are just born clowns aren’t they? I can just hear all the laughter going on in your house! 🙂
