There is something about the light this time of year that signals the change in seasons.
Even the sun casts a different beam and the forest is thick with autumn’s shadows.
Especially noticeable at twilight. I noted last night that it was completely dark here by 8 pm (sigh).

I’m hoping for a little more time for my tomatoes to ripen; they got such a late start this season.

I actually don’t mind winter. Only that it stays around too long! Seven months of snow seems a tad too much.

I have never seen snow for that long but I think I would tire of it after the first month.
