They are either morning or mourning
but in any case, rather shy.
What a privilege to look this Lovey Dove in the eye.
He seems to be saying, “May I please come in?”

I love the “tailored” look of the doves. They somehow are much neater and well put together than other birds are.

Ditto Ronnie! And I love the sounds they make – the soft cooing is so peaceful. 🙂

What a great little visitor you have. They are calm and peaceful birds, not easily frightened. I love to hear their gentle cooing.

I so agree. I just love doves even though they are supposedly related to pigeons (who are not always so popular). 🙂 Oddly enough I love pigeons too.

I love doves too, Dor! They’re so well-mannered. They always wait for the other birds to finish their bath before meekly stepping into the water. 🙂

They are sweet birds…..but I’ve found they aren’t necessarily the “brightest”….

I love the desert-rose-sand color of their smooth breasts. I painted my hallway just that color. The guy at the paint store I’m sure thought I had a loose screw or two! 😉

I did not know doves mate for life. Now they are even more endearing. Wonder if they get sick of each other though.

I love the idea of “dove grey” walls. Must remember to order that at the paint store (even at the risk of making the sales guy scratch his head). 🙂

There is a “mate” waiting nearby – maybe standing guard?
