Wow, you did get a lot of snow!! I love the last picture of the deck because I can just imagine what it’s like sitting out there in the summertime looking at that gorgeous view. You are so lucky Dor! And I envy you that fire right now because that would make my day reading on the couch under a blankie even more perfect :).

O.K. Cindy, you remind me of my close close friend, who comes to visit and winds up on the couch under a blankie and never wants to go anywhere else!
I knew there was something special about you. 🙂 And thanks – the wood stove is very comforting, especially when we lose power and have no other form of heat in the house. It’s not as pretty as a fireplace, but it does the job.

Great shot with your snow-laden Adirondack chair. 🙂 We used to have a Buck stove when we lived in GA. On these nippy days, I miss it.

Thanks Lilly! I never heard it called a Buck stove before, and I think I might miss it too – ugly as it is. It sure does the job. 🙂

Buck is a particular brand actually.

As inconvenient as snow might be it is awfully pretty to look at. I look at bad weather as an excuse to enjoy a peaceful day at home.

Those wood stoves sure make things toasty. Me? I’m hugging a heating pad every night to warm up the bed and then my husband thanks me for “warming up” the bed. 🙂

The fire looks so nice and cozy–and perfect to sit near on a cold winter day. I also love the picture of the snow-covered chair. It has a really artistic look to it.

Lovely pictures. I think I had the same geometric print on my sofa that you have. I loved it! It was sort of blue and green and always fresh looking.

Yep, the Mud’s here, but the snow was so beautiful it was worth it. Around this time of year, I miss FL too. I’m with you on that! 🙂

Thanks for the photos Dor. A reminder of places in the Northern Hemisphere in which we lived. Now if I want snow I have to drive some 200 kms and really I am over snow. That said, keep warm and as I walk Lotte on the beach in the sunshine I shall spare a thought for my surrogate sister in W Virginia. 🙂

Love it! Our snow was all gone, but it started snowing this morning and has been doing so all day. More winter white to wear. Hope you’re staying good and toasty warm!

Our snow has all melted and the last few days almost balmy. But old man winter is re-arriving tonight and bringing frigid weather.

Same here — really frigid temps moving in. Stay warm by that lovely toasty fire, Dor!!
