Daily Prompt: Proud
When was the last time someone told you they were proud of you?
Today is February 15th and the last time someone told me they were proud of me was February 13th!!! Am I a lucky duck or what?
On Cindy’s advice I bought a Total Body Vibration Machine. It was a little scary at first but I tried and got up to one whole minute standing on it. And here is proof that blogging provides the most delightful friendships and encouragement. Thanks to Cindy, I am up to the required ten minutes now and loving it!
“Oh Dor, I am SO proud of you. I was afraid that some of the comments on here might scare you away from it. I find the circulation and energy benefits are the most noticeable effects of using the machine. I mean I’m not going to say it has made me lose tons of weight because it hasn’t, but I did lose inches, my muscles have toned up, and I just feel better physically. I’m not stiff all the time like I used to be. As an example, I have very, very long legs and could never touch my toes, even when I was younger, but now I can touch them no problem
. Keep up the great work!!!”
You make it sound more interesting all the time!
YAY for you! My hubby tells me he’s proud of me all the time. Makes me smile.
You definitely picked a good one Dianna!
That’s awesome. You keep at it as a test case, and then maybe I’ll be sold.
I’m just so glad I was able to help Dor
. That’s what friends are for – to encourage and help each other live up to our best potential. I was very painfully shy as a child and didn’t have much self confidence at all, so I was always thirsty for praise and encouragement. Now I try to do the same for others whenever I can
. My hubby and my youngest son are using our machine now too as part of their workout, as we are all trying to exercise and lose weight right now, so it has become a family affair and I am really glad that we bit the bullet and bought the machine! We call it the wiggle machine, so Happy Wiggling!!!
Thank you Cindy! Glad to count you in as friend and also glad you grew up to be not-so-shy.
LOL!! People usually don’t believe me when I tell them how painfully shy I was as a child
.
I think maybe you have overcome that huh?
There are still some situations that I find hard to deal with, but for the most part I have forced myself to overcome my shyness
.
Public speaking still gets too me. I actually start to shake. So I have given up public speaking.
I don’t blame you!! I used to get physically ill every time I had to get up in front of the class to do a presentation
.
Same here….dry mouth and unable to speak.
